How do I change a photo's physical size on iphoto to fit into a locket

I would drag the photo you want to use to the Desktop and open it up in Preview. In Preview, if you want to crop the photo, click and drag the area you want to crop, then from then from the Preview Menubar/Tools/Crop.


Now that it's cropped, select Tools/Adjust Size. Set the image dimensions to inches from the drop down menu.

I think that's easier than using iPhoto because iPhoto will only resize an image by pixels and not inches.
