I have three questions regarding the mentioned cards;
1. Which is better for design work? (Japamac thought 7800GTX)
2. Where can you buy the &800GTX for cheaper than the FX4500 (tried eBay)
3. I have a PC so could try flashing a PC 7800GTx myself..?? - does anyone have any instructions or links on how to do this?

Thanks japamac -I had seen that seller before but what put me off him was that when i last imported something from the USA ($90 value) i got charged £26 ($40) so it would be quite expensive to import (quality comes at a price i guess)

He's from Hong Kong and does better work than the guy from the US.
Unfortunately unless its sent from the UK or EU you have to pay Import VAT and customs duty.. 😟 I may end up biting the bullet and getting it as there dont even seem to be many PC 512mb 7800GTX's on eBay UK to try and flash.

They are said to be scarce.
The 256 MB versions are more common, but, alas, they don't flash well for Leopard.
For Tiger, the 256 MB VRAM version is terrific, but not so in Leopard.
If you do find a 512 MB PC version, get a hold of me via email through my website listed in my profile.
I'll set you up with a good ROM.
