I ran the EFI update 2.2 on my Macbook Pro today, and now it has restarted with a gray screen, and no other icons. Only a black pointer cursor. What should I do?

I saw this on another post:

"I had the same problem so I called apple,

You need to press ctrl alt shift and the on/off button for 1 second and after that turn it on again, and make sure there is nothing plugged into your mac exept the power cord."

After pressing ctrl, alt, shift, and power, it shut down, and at least I was able to restart it.
