Can't trash preferences cause folder doesn't exist

I just went to trash my preferences but the folder is nowhere to be found. I also don't have a plist for it. I repaired permissions in disc utility. Messed up my preferences on purpose and restarted. Nothing seems to bring it out of hiding. But everytime I reopen FCP it still has my preferences from the last time I opened. Where the heck is it and what can I do about this?

The whole reason I wanted to trash them was because my sequences weren't being created on their own to my clips' settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
