I changed my apple ID on the website, but my phone doesn't recognize it.  It defaults to the old one and will not allow editiing.  It won't accept either the old or new password.  In other words, I can't log in to itunes or the app store from my phone since I changed my Apple ID and password.  What do i do?

    Settings>Store. Log out of old Apple ID, log in with new Apple ID

    I too have a similar problem.  I am logged into the Store and Icloud on my iphone 4 using my new user ID (which I had to change to when I upgraded to IOS5 as my old one wasn't an email) and my new password.

     

    All works well except when I try to update apps on my phone I get a window still showing my old ID and asking for my password.  Neither my old nor new password work for that old ID.

     

    So I am undable to update my apps. 

     

    I've tried logging out of the Store within settings and logging back in but the issue persists.  Ugh.

    I too have a similar problem.  I can use my change apple id and password for my itunes but icloud keeps popping up with a message that it my apple id and password are incorrect.  When I go into settings my old apple id is showing and is not highlighted for editting.  I can't sign into my old apple id because it has changed with Apple.  I've tried just about everything.  Help!!

    this does not work - I have the same issue as these others.....what is the resolution?

    You can try this, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311, however, apps are locked to the Apple ID used to download them. If the old Apple ID is no longer usable, the only thing you can do is delete the app and download again.
