how to change user name for iPad

i changed my apple user ID, i have no problems signing into Itunes from my mac book or iphone, i just synched my Ipad and have a few apps to upgrade and when i click the Update All the box with the user name and place for password shows but has the old user name,and it doesn't give an option to change the shown user name, how can i change it for my Ipad.When i got to the Itunes app on the Ipad,and click the View My Account tab it asks me to sign in and again the old user name again shows up with no option to change it. thanks in advance for any help

Settings > Store , tap on the account id on the right hand side and log out of it, and then log in with the new one. If any apps were bought/downloaded with the old id, then any updates to them can only be downloaded via that id - apps are tied to the account that bought/download them, not to the device that they are on, and they cannot be transferred to a different account
