does anyone using lion also have eyetv3?

I have an imac w/4GB memory, lion 10.7.1, eyetv 3.5.3. many times Ill be watching tv and everything will suddenly freeze up needing a hard restart. sometimes it will "stutter" first then freeze. I sent elgato/eyetv a log report and theyre to get back to me on their findings. meanwhile they sent me a program to completely remove eyetv, and a different link to download the program from. I did what they said and it seems to run longer before freezing the system. everything works fine with leopard. (havent tried it on snow leopard) I wondered if maybe it was a power issue with lion since I have 9(?) USB devices plugged into my mac, so Ive ordered a 10 port powered hub. I dont know if that will help, but it cant hurt! I just wondered if anyone else using lion and eyetv have had issues like this

I have Lion and EyeTV 3. Both are the latest. On both my recordings and live tv I see stuttering at 15 second intervals (exactly). I noticed this first with EyeTV Hybrid and returned it (thinking it was the tuner) for an HDHomeRun. Same exact behavior. It makes me think it has something to do with the software or Lion. I've tried all different "Progressive Scan" settings and keeping the buffer in RAM, on external HDs, etc. Always the same.I have an open ticket with Elgato as well and haven't heard back.

elgato sent me eyetv reporter, an app that totally(?) removes eyetv. u can also back up/restore your prefs, send logs.... along with that they sent me a link to build 6756. so I uninstalled it, etc. sent them 2 logs that I never heard back from/about. it makes me mad about the whole thing since eyetv is a mostly used app on my mac. BUT... in using other video apps I find that there are issues and freezes as well. so I decided to go back to leopard which is most stable for me, until a new version of lion comes out. I think its a problem with both lion video and eyetv and until one is fixed the other cant be. I did somehow in trying different things get rid of the stutter but it would still freeze needing a hard restart. I found it happens more when using power saver. maybe for those that use their mac for just internet and simple stuff, they find no problems, but for us that use their mac for more than the typical "simple" stuff... theres issues. hopefully apple reads this stuff for other than just deleting comments, and works on those issues that effect us power users. but untill things are fixed I am kinda afraid to use lion because I dont want a freeze where I end up loozing stuff. lion is on a usb drive but I shudnt think thats the problem since you are able to boot up on any OS drive. (supposedly) I had issues with snow leopard and gave up on that long ago. maybe THAT OS works right now for power users... I dont know. I do know I have files on lion that I cant edit in leopard because of program version compatability issues. I hope other power users are complaining to apple so they get it worked out! I hate wasting money. I tried an upgrade approach and a virgin instal approach (with nothing installed besides eyetv). both didnt work right. I keep checking for 10.7.2 but nothing yet.... and hopefully it fixes power user issues. so I wait.......
