Since the Lion upgrade the quick look feature has become a problem, particularly for pdf files. I can't scroll down the file and the page view in the sidebar has the stalled cog icon on each page. (see screenshot). Any tips please?

One thing I tried was to delete com.apple.finder.plist.lockfile which helped for a while but the problem returns
I have exactly the same problem. Strangely enough, it works from time to time. Unfortunately, I have not found a solution to this problem.
I'm the same. Quicklook doesnt work well. My most annoying thing is that I can't scroll through a list to see different images. It only shows the first image. If I want to see the next one down I have to close QL, scroll down and reopen QL again. Has anyone worked out how to get it to scroll again?
I have the same problem. Open Terminal.app and type "qlmanage -r" without the quotes. This clears the quicklook cache. Then log out and back in. This solves it for a while for me.
I just deleted com.apple.quicklookdaemon.plist from ~/Library/Preferences. I'll update if that seems to have helped too.
Thanks- I had tried deleting the preference file but the problem returned quite soon afterwards. I had also used the terminal command that you gave. I then tried the following Terminal command (from a post elsewhere) and so far so good.
sudo mdutil -a -i offsudo mdutil -a -i onOK. That lasted less than 24 hours. I've tried Matt's advice - let's se how long this lasts!

That also didn't last more than 24 hours. However, I did come across another possible fix that has worked so far. I found it in the following discussion
http://www.betalogue.com/2010/11/07/pdfindex4-sk/Basically, it's deleting the “PDFIndex4.sk” file that is in Application Support>Preview. Mine was 25 MB in size. All seems to be good - that file is clearly one that acquires historical data of some sort - a suggestion is that it ought to be located in cache files so that clearing cache will also clear its data. Any experts out there?
