Problems with Safari 5.1 in Asp.Net Windows Authentication

Hi ,

I am using "Windows" authentication mode in a web application using ASP.Net 3.5. In Safari 5.1 the "EventTarget" is null on postbacks.When the authetication mode is changed(set "None" or "Forms") this is working fine.

Working fine in previous versions of Safari.

True. This is how the Safari browser works. Very strange. Evan I got such issues with Safari 5.1. If you change to newer version the frequency of getting this error is minimised by is not eliminated. I suggest not to target Safari Browser for ASP.Net applicaitons
