Keyboard acts and sounds like old typewriter.

Try this. Go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Keyboard. If Sicky Keys is On, turn it Off.
Note that in that same control/prefs pane is a setting which allows Sticky Keys to become enabled by pressing the Shift key five times in a row. To disable that possibility, uncheck that item.
I had to force quit dock as well and then check and uncheck these items. For some reason, it kept self checking, but i had read somewhere that the dock might be the culprit. So, i force quit the dock and unchecked these items. and then restarted it. It stopped clicking and self checking. So a combination of the two fixed it. Thanks!
Problem With keyboard not working properly, it types and makes a sound like an old typewriter. The change occurred immediately after I installed lion. Also shows some keys on screen.
