Macbook Air + Razer DeathAdder

i have a brand new macbook air, intel core i5, with tiger 10.7.1. i also purchased a Razer DeathAdder mouse because this will be used partially for gaming. the problem i am having is getting it to scroll, which i noticed a mac thread saying this is possible in older OSX builds. this is becoming something that is obvious to me that i wont be getting used to after trying to for a few days, i just keep finding myself going back to the trackpad. so for a 60$ mouse, im ready to return it unless i can figure out the functionality. does anyone have any experience getting this to work? also was trying to get the side buttons to go back a page, but that isnt a big deal. a back button isnt an option in razers software.

i also went to system preferences>mouse>set up bluetooth mouse(which is also supposed to find USB mice) and it cannot find it, when i plug it in while it is searching, the search ends and it returns to the "mouse" screen. is this correct? i felt like there should be a set-up menu.
