I've lost my charger for the Ipad. Is there any other way to charge it?

Or plug it into any USB port on your computer. Some USB ports do not provide enough power to charge the iPad while the iPad is on so you may have to have the iPad off in these cases.

Me personally, I have my iPad attached to the USB hub on my Dell monitor. After syncing with iTunes, I just leave the iPad plugged in and I get 100% charge overnight, even though the Dell's USB port only supplies the USB minimum of 500mA.

True, iPad will trickle charge on a USB port on most computers, but the OP should replace the charger for normal charging.

Debatable. I use USB charging almost exclusevly and only use the AC adapter when I travel. Since I connect to iTunes to sync my iPad daily, trickle charging is sufficient for me, so it could be for the OP as well, depending on usage.

I do agree that they should have the AC adapter for other reasons, particularly if they don't plan to charge every day. But "normal charging" is a YMMV thing. 🙂
