How do I keep my earphones from falling out of my ear?

When I use my ipod shuffle during walks, the supplied earphones from apple keep falling out. I use the third generation shuffle, so I need the apple earphones to control the volume. As I can't use other earphones, how do I make the earphones less prone to fall out?
