I used to use a Windows 98 laptop up to 3+ years ago, but since moving to Mac have largely forgotten how Windows works. I now have Windows 7 on Bootcamp and can't see how to adjust screen brightness. Surely there should be an adjuster on the System Tray (that's what it used to be called) bottom right next to the clock. I'm on 20" iMac with Apple keyboard (the long one with number pad at the right).

Does the keyboard have brightness controls on the F keys?
If these do not work: try holding fn and using the F keys.
If that does now work I have to ask: have you installed the bootcamp software? you need to make a CD (or usb stick) of drivers and software from OSX then boot into wiondows and run it.
Thanks. Booted into Mac you have to hold down Fn + F1 or F2 (marked with the brightness symbol). Booted into Windows F1 or F2 NOT TOUCHING Fn, works perfectly and showing the Mac-type brightness change indicator (in Windows!). Never thought of that simple solution. Thtoopid me.
