will an ipod mini purchased in america work in england?

I'm looking to get a new ipod mini through a friend of mine in america, but i'm not sure whether it will work here as i can't seem to find the spec on this website. can someone help please?

Of course it will work in England. The only consideration off the top of my head is having the correct external power adapter kit which is an accessory and needs to be purchased separately. Here's an example:

The iPod power adapter will word, but you'll probably need an AC prong adapter.

As someone who has purchased 2 iPods in the US, I can assure you that they work here in the UK, and the chargers (should you buy one) work across a 100 to 240 volt range.
