You still can't change the user name here. The OP didn't get answered or post back, but he could have easily used the new ID for these forums and retained the old one for iTunes.

By simple comparison: if I go to iTunes and login to the iTunes Store with my Apple ID, I have the ability to easily (in one click) change my "Nickname," which will be displayed next to reviews I write. The bottom line is that this forum is based on old technology, and Apple just hasn't gotten around to updating it yet, or they don't want to, but I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope for the former.

As soon as you set up your username for the Apple Support Communities you cannot change your username. It is stated before you confirm your username.
