Also the glasses in the left corner are chosen.
The glasses icon is for viewing your Bookmarks. Anytime you click that icon, it will move the Safari page to the right.
Click the glasses icon one more time. TopSites should be ok.
When I click on the glasses it moves everything to the left on a regular webpage. And when I click the glasses on the topsites page, it goes to a blank page.

Go to Safari / Preferences - General
Make a selection from the pop up menu where you see: New windows open with
You may have "empty page" selected.
I figured it out! I had to wait until something came over my mouse so that I could align my page. Thank You!
