My Egyptian friend is visiting the stats and would like to buy iphone from here and she wonder if it will work there with Egyptian carier. Anybody know if it will or she should just buy it from there.

Since the iPhone is not officially sold in Egypt & there are no official carriers there, some features will most likely not be available: MMS, Visual Voicemail, FaceTime, Personal Hotspot, etc. Further, you will have no warranty or support should something go wrong. The only place to purchase an officially unlocked iPhone in the US is directly from Apple.
if it's officially unlocked it will work 🙂
If you buy an iphone from AT&T it can't be unlocked for the use with another carrier. So make sure it it factory unlocked.
