I use yahoo email, every time I click on my inbox, I get the colored spooling wheel and only way to get out I have to "x" out

I am having difficulty with our Yahoo email... Every time I go into yahoo and try to go into the inbox and it does not open, it gives me the colored wheel constantly spooling and the only way I can get out is by "x" out.

I starting having this "colored spinning wheel" problem too! It started about two weeks ago and like the others, every time I go into my Yahoo mail, I get the spinning-wheel and the only way out is to "X" out of the site. Sometimes I can make it through a few notes, other times the problem starts as soon as I click on the first note. I searched google a few days ago and saw a response to this problem that said I should "uncheck" the 3 items in the "Auto-fill" preferences in Safari (Safari-Preferences-Autofill) and that should help. It did not. I also went in and deleted cookies, cache and history, but that didn't work either, or if it did, it only took a few clicks to experience the problem again. One of the times I went in to delete cookies I noticed over 100 cookies and other website data stored and I had only been on perhaps 2 or 3 sites (CNN, google and yahoo and perhaps Apple), and I never click on the adds. Don't know if there's any significance to this but I thought that was an awful lot of "cookies" for just a few clicks after previously deleting cookies. Also, I believe I have the latest version of Yahoo mail. I actually have 2 Yahoo accounts and the spinning wheel is a problem with both of them, same for my wife. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have a MacBook Pro purchased last December with Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Safari version 5.1, an Intel core i5 processor, 4 GB of memory and a 320 GB HD with very little loaded on it.

I assume we have the latest version of yahoo.... As I stated this is my very first Apple Computer and I still have my other PC that I have used for the past 4 years (and have had a PC all my life), and out of frustration I am going back to my other computer to use my yahoo mail and I don't have the spooling on it.

I truly enjoy the new Apple Computer and would like to correct this spooling problem. In following the instructions and using the Apple computer, I really don't know how to find these Internet Options to delete cookies. On my previous PC, I know right where the "tool" is and could follow these instructions with no problem... but at this time I am getting not so lucky with the Apple.

I have been using my MBP for the last 14 months and haven't had this problem until last week. I have spoken with the Apple Care team three times in the last week. I have reset all caches, reset safari, cleaned out cookies, caches and even reinstalled Safari last night. I used the browser for 30-45 min and found no issues, then this am, on the first opening( with cleaned out cookies, cache, and newly reinstalled Safari) and surprise that the pinwheel of doom had popped up again for me. I am looking for a better solution than just clearing out cookies. I have used yahoo, safari over the last year and haven't had any issues before, so I don't understand why I should have to clear the safari cache and cookie memory everytime. anyone else have suggestions.

Not sure yet if this might be a longterm fix, but I went through some of the Yahoo troubleshooting issues. the one that I did and has worked fine so far. Safari Preferences, Security, and uncheck the Enable Plug-ins. I haven't noticed any issues with yahoo or any other website in its browsing so I am hoping that this fixes everything. Let me know if you decide to try and what your results are.

The plug in disabling is only a short term fix. I have "hopefully" solved the problem. I was told to go into the home folder in finder, then into library, then into internet plugins and remove any of the following:

BrowserPlugin_2.9.8.plugin

googletalkbrowserplu...plugin

OfficeLiveBrowserPlu...plugin

npgtpo3dautoplugin.plugin

Silverlight.plugin

The second location was in finder, Mac HD, library, internet plugin folder and remove any of these.

They mentioned that there could be a couple other folders, but I didn't have any of them, so I would start there.

So far so good. Hope this helps. This allows you to use plugins and still browse without pinwheel.

I'm having the same problem for the past month or so with Safari only. It seems to be a problem with Safari because with Firefox it works fine and when I'm at work it also works fine with Windows explorer. there seems to be no solution yet for the problem if I read everyone's comments. I hope someone can figure it out soon for Safari because I prefer to use safari, but it is annoying to have to switch to firefox only to check my yahoo email.
