How about using a cloud service like DropBox? You would need to install the app on the iPad and on your PC.
Thanks but I Cannot install software on my work PC don't have Admin rights to network. Looking for something that will work from the IPad side
Download Goodreader from the App Store and then google Goodreader USB. Goodreader USB allows you to transfer files into Goodreader without needing to use iTunes.
alternatively you could use a service such as Dropbox or SugarSync to transfer files onto your iPad.
I use Goodreader all the time. The USB transfer uses the File Sharing section of the Apps tab in iTunes. You still need iTunes for USB in Goodreader. The user can't load iTunes onto his work computer.
"If your employer wants you to be able to transfer files from your PC to your iPad, why would he/she not allow the installation of an application on the PC that would allow you to do so" ... He thought to himself. "Perhaps transferring the files is not what the employer wants"?
Big company- many years behind technology, takes lots of time to set Corp standards and then institute them Just got issued USB drives-that's how far behind we are. Just trying to find an easier way to do my job. Trying to save paper by taking my IPad to meetings instead printing a ton of paperwork and then tossing it out when I'm done with it
Can you email the files to yourself and then use the iPad to read
the email/open the attachment? (edited to remove reference
to DropBox because mentioned by earlier poster)

Thank you. My bad as I missed it when reading initial post.
