What happens when you connect the camera and click on import from camera? Is the camera set to playback video? Computer mode or whatever they call it.
I copy the video file on to sd card. I opened final cut pro x and try to import from the sd card. It does not work.
Thanks
Please give the exact specifications of the media you recorded on the card. Do you have mixed media, different formats of media, on the same card?
It transcodes the material if you check optimize on import. Otherwise the media is rewrapped to QuickTime.
This is what I thought....thanks Tom
So far my XA10 plays very nice with FCPX.....I hope it stays that way. It's beyond weird (not to mention unfortunate) why some seem to work and some don't.
Does the camera bridge from one slot to the other automatically?
Try a new card in one slot. Shoot a few shots. See if it works.
The camera has a hard drive and two card slots?
Try just the card in the computer, without the camera.
No, no, no. Don't go to the .mts files. FCP won't recognize them without the folder structure.
Bye. Lot of people using this camera with this software. But whatever.
By any chance are you using an SDXC card? These aren't compatible with the MAC OS.
Well, actually my SDXC card works with my MBA (Lion).
I should have said that according to the XA10 manual they're not compatible. I guess the manual is incorrect.
The manual may well be referring to Snow Leapard, which I *think* is incompatible with SDXC. 😕
Does anyone know why it take so long to import file from the ax10 ? I am using the usb2.0 cable and it take real time to transfer file.
