Start up screen PROBLEM!!

Could be many reasons.

Try to start it up again while holding Command and V.

Tell us what the last couple lines of text say, and hopefully it will provide a clue.

Hi I've just had the same problem and have posted this, I've just done as you have suggested and have got the boot system up.

Last few lines are

Bootcashecontrol: could not unlink bootcache playlist /var/db/bootcache.play: 30 read only file eyetem

launch_msg() : socket is not connected

same happens to me. Using "Command-S" to boot in single user mode then, "applejack" option3 clear chache or "mount -o rw /" state:

jnl: disk0s2: journal_open: Error replaying the journal!

hfs_mount: journal_open == NULL; couldn't be opened on Macintosh HD

mount_hfs: Invalid argument

so the remount into R/W fails.

fsck -f(y) are ok without errors

"repair permissions" in applejack is ok too...

Any hints?

Step 5 brought it back. Seems to work now.

All started with a frozen screen. Only way out was a "long keypress on the power button"
