Apple TV 1 not showing TV show items

Well seems that this is an ongoing trend... Both in the international community and national community. Please once a solution has been reached or some one finds a work around please post your findings in here as we all need this resolved as soon as possible. I'm hurting in Germany without my little America streaming into my tube...

I have the same problem also in London, UK with an Apple TV 1st Gen unit.

I had a full set of menu options yesterday as I purchased a TV series pass using it.

I noticed a couple of hours ago that all menu items under TV Shows except for "My TV Shows" have now disappeared.

My Apple TV 2 (same network connection, same iTunes server) is working ok.

I'm assuming/hoping that Apple are doing some backend work on their iTunes servers etc and this is a temporary glitch.

Another UK person here with the problem. Had to dig out my unit as I use an AppleTV2 now, which is not experiencing any issues.

I tend to purchase via iTunes anyway and had written off this unit due to lack of updates. Will keep an eye on this thread as now I have it out I could make use of it again (when workign fully).

Rhode Island here - same issue. I noticed "top shows" are offered up top. They are all network based. Wondering if there is some legal conflict or pricing dispute regarding cable shows.

'Search' in Music section has not been working for me for some days as it used to.

Previously you typed a character/characters and had a list of compatible groups listed dynamically. Not any more. You have to enter a search string then select that from the right side.

Poor.

I suspect AppleTV 1 and AppleTV 2 web support is quite different and based on different servers - would not surprise me if they intend to stop supporting the store on AppleTV 1.

"Top Shows" were offered up top initially for me here in London before also disappearing leaving me with just "My TV Shows" under the TV Shows menu and my shows up top.

I had just purchased a series pass where only the 1st episode I trust that Apple will be delivering the rest but more importantly I trust this is a temporary glitch and our menu items and TV show store will return soon

Apple, it would seem, has made TV show purchases difficult for owners of Apple TV 1 (original) boxes. Yes, even here in Vancouver, Canada, I am sharing your pain. Maybe we should pass the hat for the $60AUS needed to get a support tech to tell us to go out and buy an Apple TV 2. Deep sigh...

same problem I'm in London and i can olny c my tv shows option i tried restarting it 100 times and still the same...

Having the same issue here in Canada. I also can't seem to access all of the TV shows I have in my connected iTunes library. Sure hope this is temporary.

Yes, but that still suggests we should be able to buy TV shows in certain countries outside of USA as has been the case for a few years.

My Store TV Show options have disappeared now too (a few years ago I'd have regarded this as a good thing!),

I have both a US & UK account on my iTunes & Apple TV and according to Apple:

This should be just fine for TV shows on either account yet both have disappeared suddenly as described

Same situation from Switzerland.

The only reason I'm using this service is because it's account based (and has been like that since the beginning) so if they make it IP/Country based I'm going back to P2P...

Having said that I'm putting money that it's got something to do with the new iCloud rollout (anyone remember the me.com fiasco)?

Anyhow, I'm still able to buy passes and download episodes from iTunes (using beta 7) and then sync them with Apple TV so I wouldn't worry too much about this situation for now.
