    Tried all the 'magic' tricks I found to this topic in the web: factory reset, software update, remove all cables > 30 secs, check country etc. - to no avail...


    But there is still hope: there was an announcement to developers last week that today iCloud beta will be reset, and there were already some issues over the weekend - e.g. Saturday evening (SGP time, early morning East Coast time) loging into iTunes accounts was affected for 2 - 3 hours, then it suddenly worked again...


    I think we can expect a few more 'hickups' in this area over the next days / weeks - use workarounds like described above (e.g. download via iTunes on Mac & then sync to ATV) - but I am confident that 'old' functionality will re-appear sooner or later (hopefully sooner...;-)

    I f it is a licenseing issue then why are the most popular shows showing up at the top? I think it is a glitch due to the forthcomming iCloud upgrade. For me this started on Saturday morning EDT.


    Today all iCloud developer accounts are supposed to be "wiped". Perhaps it is because of this reset. Who knows? And why is it only affecting the TV section? All other sectios are working fine. In fact I rented a couple of movies over the weekend.

    Same here in the UAE - all ok until last night now nothing! V annoying - I spend a small fortune with apple on this thing rather than using less legal means and suddenly it's gone!

    Hey guys I dont know if this will help, but seeing as Apple is not making any response to this issue, I wrote a blog on IGN's website.     Tried to contact them directly and all they are saying is that they have not recieved complaints about this issue and that you have to pay them to do what you can do yourself, perform a factory restore. The factory restore does not resolve issue. I have done it twice and I have the same problem. So we need other options to get their attention.

    Same here. ATV gen1 in Dubai.. not going to restore factory settings as it doesnt seem to do any good. i guess its a problem from ATV.

    I don't think there's any point contacting support - they won't know about this - it's almost certainly an itunes server issue probably secondary to some server reconfiguration.


    I think AppleTv1 and 2 may access different servers or at least get handled differently depending on how they declare themselves to the servers.


    This is not an issue with AppleTV1 - something has changed at Apple's end.

    Same thing is happening to my Apple TV here in British Columbia, Canada.  Only the sub menu to the Apple TV TV Shows heading is "My TV Shows" ; no Search, Genre option, etc. 


    Can still view complete selection and search TV episodes in "iTunes" using my Computer.  Can Purchase TV episodes using the computer which will then sync to Apple TV.


    Glad to hear this is a common problem as I thought I might be having Network issues.


    I'm sure Apple will catch up with this issue eventually.  Too much going on with the "cloud" right now.

    Gen1 ATV in Brazil with US Account. Same problem, since September 26 as well. Do you guys have any news on this issue? I am trying to download from the apple store to the cmputer the seasons that I did purchased using Gen1 ATV and it is not working as well, they even aks me to purchase again (and pay for it twice) or they do not allo the download.
