Disable Password-Protected Sharing?

I was wondering if it's possible to share a folder in Lion such as the Public folder to Windows users without it prompting them for a password? In Windows, there's a way to turn off password-protected sharing. I'd like to do the same with Lion if possible?

Mac OS X (10.7.1)

The Public and Shared folders are supposed to be accessible by anyone. Unless you are trying to log in as a particular user (or the permissions have been changed), you should be able to access the public folders as a guest without logging in to anything.
