Yeah I have the same issue. It says "We could not complete your iTunes Store request" when I try logging in. The network connection timed out. But I can browse around the store and search for songs etc. This problem just popped up suddenly today =(
I'm logged into iTunes ok but i can't download any Apps on my MacBook, iPhone or iPad.
The mobile devices just come back with 'iTunes password is incorect try again or cancel'. If I try it in iTunes on my laptop it hangs for ages saying "Accessing iTunes store" then comes up with "We could not complete your iTunes Store request, the network connection timed out".
There is nothing wrong with my internet connection and I can browse iTunes with no problems.
It's been like this for hours now and I have various apps trying to download on my iPhone that are cauisng it to lag as it hangs.
Any suggestions welcome........

I'm also having a problem similar to this. Its saying it cant access and to check my network connection. But obviously it's on.
It happened right after i started downloading a few games. a few downloaded then they stopped and after that i couldn't access the store. Not only that i was having a lot of trouble going on ANY apple site. All other websites are fine.
same problem..i think there is a problem in itunes server i hope they fix it soon

I just would have thought that the Mods here would have some stickied thread somewhere if there was a common error happening at this point in time that we had to wait for.
I've wasted so much time trying to fix this via the internets.
I am having the same problem. The login function does not appear to work on computer or via iPad. Can not log into account, can not download updates to apps. On iPad, the login window refuses to pop up and it just times out. On the Mac, the login window pops up when attempting to update the apps, but then it times out.
Problems experienced on the Canadian itunes store as well. Cannot log into it.
I'm in Australia. There's a pattern happening here. That's ok, i just wish i could get my 3 hours back.
The good news? If the logon function is the core problem, we can bet this will be fixed soon since that shuts down all new purchases (i.e. new revenue) as well.
I am having the same issue. I cannot log in via my MacBook Pro's iTunes or from my iPod. Connection eventually times out.
Authentication is down. You can type in any password when your iOS device prompts you to and it'll eventually time out.
This is a huge problem Apple's going to have to acknowledge if they don't fix it. If no one can authenticate their iTunes login, apps can't be purchased, downloaded, or updated.
I'm just glad im not the only one. I know it's not me who has to fix something. Bed time now.
