Why won't itunes let me sign in?

I just bought a new laptop, im going from mac to pc.. i download and install itunes and copy all my music to it.

now i tried to sign into itunes store and it tells me that i need to verify my id so i click ok and it says that an email has been sent to me (it has not) and that i need to click the link.

below that it says that my email address has been validated successfully. i click done and nothing has changed. 😟

Please help.
