Does anyone know where the 10.0.1 update can be found?
All that I find in the app store is the full $300 version. Where are they hiding the update?
MacPro (Tower), Mac OS X (10.6.5), Final Cut Studio

You need to buy it first, then it will show in the App store as an update.
The version being sold on the App Store is the updated version.
Updates are available in the Updates tab in the Mac App Store. If it is not appearing there, it may not be recognizing that FCPX is installed on your system. If this is the case, trash the application and then click the Install button in the Purchased tab.
I did buy it, awhile ago...

How many months ago, maybe yesterday ?
Wow, thanks for the helpful and insightful input Innocentius. And no, it wasn't yesterday, it was back in June as a matter of fact. Thanks for asking. Got any other helpful suggestions for the discussion board?
I agree andy, not sure what he was getting at other than just being rude. I have the same problem. I cant identify whether there is an update file, or whether we need to trash the original program and reinstall (which would a very un-apple approach). I am also looking to update, but like you did not derive any help from people on here who are clearly just guessing.
My app program recognises that I have it installed, but is not offering an update. I have tried this twice. I cant believe that apple expect us to just trash the installed program and start again.
If anyone in the forum actually knows what the status of the update file is, we would appreciate your input.
The question was answered several posts back. See the Apple knowledge base article for more information:
thanks Jon. I appreciate your response
I don't think innocentious is being rude, from Iceland he or she may not have a full command of the English language.
I did in fact follow the trash then install procedure (which I agree seemed a bit odd) and it worked just fine.
And sorry, but I'm not buying the lack of English excuse, me thinks he speak english real good.
Andy, it was absolutely not my intention to be rude, and if you fell it that way I apologize sincerely. I was going to try to write some suggestions but lost focus.
Appology accepted, it was hard to read that any other way but I understand completely. Thanks for clearing that up. Happy editing...
