Transparent Background??

Brand new to the Mac World and have been playing in Pages. I need to know that you after you have created a banner or something how to make the background (or paper) transparent? I have loooked everywhere and searched the "Help" and found nothing.

I'm not sure that I understand well your question.


We can't set the background of an entire document as transparent (in fact we can change nothing to this background).


We may build transparent objects like :

text box, table or shapes.


Just select the object,

click the Bacground button in the Format bar to display the color palette

select the none one (white square with red diagonal).
