Sep 25, 2011 7:38 AM in response to larryfromrichmond hillby LibbyNorthernIreland,I had the same problem when I first got my ipod! I think you have to go into settings, then to Wi-fi. There should be one or more possible connections, depending on where you are. Click on the one you want to connect to. There may be a password for that connection (usually the password is on the bottom of your Wi-fi box). Once you are connected, go onto safari on your ipod and it will connected! Hope you find this usful

Sep 25, 2011 8:10 AM in response to larryfromrichmond hillby JimHdk,Presumably you are talking about your home network? If so, then:
Despite the WiFi connection sign you may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid local network IP address when the iPod requested it. To check on this go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address shown starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix for this can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), MAC filtering being used, etc.

Sep 5, 2015 2:44 AM in response to jlcrpmby lllaass,Does the iOS device connect to other networks? YES If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network? YES
Any error messages? NO, just no interent
Do other devices now connect? YES
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router Done
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
