Can the Tempo controller default 114 be changed?

I would like to use the “Tempo Control” object in the environment which is set by default to the pitch bend controller , what i like. Its easy to record tempo changes on the fly like this. However, i cant figure out how to change the default tempo setting which is 114 bpm. Does anyone know a way?

I know that I can assign the object to another controller but I like the pitch bend controller for this.
