My mac makes a clicking noise when I suddenly pick it up and tilt it. I would like to know how to turn it off to see if that is what is making the noise.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1)
dont disable that, that helps keep the hard drive safe from head crash

Then the noise you hear will be the head and the hard drive colliding, don't do that.

Yeah I agree with not disabling that. That sensor is there to retract the reader head of the HDD when the laptop is being moved around, if you disable it there is a possibility that you could damage your HD...
How do disable the sudden motion sensor with the software version 10.7.1?
