How do you know you actually downloaded and isntalled the trojan in question?
yesterday i downloaded an installer of flash player, but i actually thought it was an update. but when i was searching the installer it was gone
If you do accidentally fall prey to this particular Trojan horse, F-Secure has put up manual instructions for removing the backdoor. To do so, you’ll want to open Activity Monitor; select checkvir and click Quit Process; then delete the following files:
/users/user/Library/LaunchAgents/checkvir /users/user/Library/LaunchAgents/checkvir.plist
I think I have the same problem as Amupage.
crc34, I go to Activity Monitor and can find anything that says checkvir...???
the same i don't find anything that's called that way
If you have the Flash Trojan, you would find it here: ~/Library/Preferences/Preferences.dylib
where do i find that?
Go to your Home Folder(~)/Library. If your Library is not visible, then from the Finder Menubar, hold the Option key and click on the Go Menu/Select Library
In your Library, go to Preferences and look for a preference named Preferences.dylib
