First, let me say that I know that this problem has come up before. None of the solutions that I have seen have worked. Nor have apple's support pages.


My iPad died and went to recovery screen while being updated by iTunes. It had never had connections issues before. I then tried to plug it back in, which didn't work, and went through the series of shenangins online attempting to solve the problem. I have reinstalled iTunes, reinstalled the drivers, tried different USB ports, disabled my firewall, etc. I know that the computer is recognizing that a device is being plugged in, but iTunes does not recognize said device as an iPad.


I have a Windows 7 x64. Please do not direct me to the pages that Apple has put up. I have been there and taken those steps.
