my i omega permits only to "read"

I'm a user of Mac Mini. However my iOmega won't save any files from it.

So, how can I change the "sharing & permission" setting of my i omega

external hard disk from "read only" to "you can read and write"??

Sounds to me that the external harddisk is using the NTFS file system which OSX can only read but not write (and thus not delete).

Check with Disk Utility in OSX if it is so.

For full read and write access on a NTFS-harddisk you need a third-party helper like the free NTFS-3G or Fuse4X or the commercial Paragaon or Tuxera NTFS for Mac.
