What about to finally enable Radio FM in iPhone?

It's a simple, low cost, low power consuming but definitely rich of contents feature.

Why any low/mid/high level mobile phone has it except iPhone?

I'm a user of iPhone since the early 2G up to the last 4 and this is really what I miss day by day, during travelling to office, my working time, night etc. is the FM radio. I cannot believe that I've to jump to an Android mobile for getting this stupid stuff working.

So? Any idea/rumors about?

No ideas or rumours. Clearly Apple have decided that circa-1930's FM radio technology is not appropriate for the iPhone since it hasn't made an appearance in any model since 2007.

As to why "any low/mid/high level mobile phone has it", it's probably 'cos the manufacturers of these phones are desperate to add anything cheap to their phones to make them seem more feature-rich. Apple doesn't need to do that. The iPhone already is feature-rich without old-school FM radio.

I don't want to discuss about age or cost of a technology, otherwise we can discuss if makes sense for a Ferrari to have 4 tyres...

I'm discussing about the fact that this is a usefull feature that is missing.

Apple was leading in innovation with iPhone, that's clear, and customers gave it reason. Now it's also time to complete the panorama of missing features to be aligned to what other manufactures provided even years ago when they were not desperate on following.

With version 5 I wouldn't again to buy it and still feel not completely happy because I miss some simple but usefull (please read ingenious) feature.

Samsung is going to do better and Apple starts to be quite repetitive and less innovative...

Of course I am free of choicing. 🙂

Not discussing also about this.

If I'm requesting radio FM, it's because I love the other hundreds features of iPhone but I don't love that this, so simple in its being, is missing. Quite simple, no?

Your answer about "1930's FM radio technology is not appropriate for the iPhone" could be the right answer. But I reply that this could be not completely right if you distinguish old from obsolete.

That's the only discussion we should have, and I'm sure you're agree with me about this.

Thanks anyway for sharing your point of view.
