Also, occasionally one finds install/restore DVDs on eBay, but you need to be very careful that you are getting the disc(s) specific to your machine. You might find the exact disc number on the discussions by asking that specific question with specific model information, which would in this case be the 17" 1.76 GHz non DLSD model described here. You might have a decent chance on eBay though it is a little tricky to search for restore discs.

IMHO eBay is one of the worst ripoffs there is. I never get anything from them even as a last resort.
