App data and settings are also stored in your backup, that's why the info came back when you synced the app again from iTunes to your phone.

The only way to erase the data would be to set up the phone "as new device" without using the backup afterwards.

To completely remove an app and all of its data, do this: First delete the app on your phone, then in iTunes, under Library, click on Apps, right-click the app you want to delete & select delete, when prompted, move all files to trash, empty your trash. Connect your phone and sync. The app and all of its data will be gone.

Ignore the advise to restore your phone as new.

You need to follow my instructions, exactly. App data is stored in only two places: on your phone, & as part of your iPhone backup. Syncing, AFTER you do as I instructed will remove all traces of the app.

now its not working 😟 I downloaded Google earth and its was really not a useful app so i uninstalled it but its still exist in iTunes as purchased and I didt purchased ( DId´t paid). How to delete this ? Its only shows again download option than delete option 😟

As long as you did not sync, which creates a new backup, the app data stays on the phone, the data will be removed during the next sync.

I followed same instructions and got rid of old games and photoshop tools, they were just annoying with adds.
