IRC i Terminal app

I'm wondering how I can get IRC to work in my terminal app,

in other words I don't want any GUI app for IRC..


Help?

Now research these names and see if any of them are text based IRC clients. Once you have one you want to try, you can either find the install package for the app and install it yourself, or use MacPorts to install it. NOTE: In both cases you may need to install XCode developer tools from your installation DVD, or download XCode from developer.apple.com (Free ADC account needed).
