Hi, my ipod touch 1st generation screen is separating from the frame. The screen in the lower left corner is higher than the metal frame and can be pressed back into place but returns to an elevated position. What should I do?

I will stop by the apple store and see what they have to say. My ipod is 3 years old and works perfectly, battery is still good, but with the screen separating from the frame, I am afraid I might get a new problem if it gets worse 😟
Also, I should have taken it in when I first noticed some light coming in through the left side where the screen is now separating. It's been a great product, but it appears that the screen and frame may have been misaligned during assembly.
Was it dropped? You can take it in and see about a replacement
