Jul 26, 2013 9:25 AM in response to hubrobiby fkick1,I know this is an old posting, but in case someone else comes across it as I have, you can set disconnect times via the command line for both 10.7 and 10.8 server.
A list of basic idle time out commands can be found at http://support.apple.com/kb/PH8578 . The article states for 10.6, but these also hold true through 10.8.4 (as of the time of this posting).
Basicly in terminal type the following:
sudo serveradmin settings afp:command = value
To enable idle disconnect, type
sudo serveradmin settings afp:idleDisconnectOnOff = on
