Oct 14, 2012 2:58 PM in response to avoceceby kristinfromny,Hi Cece,
John explained the on/off switches well, but just in case you're still wondering which to press, the instructions refer to the the tiny black one on the side.
As Danni indicaed above, we have to go through this process everytime the batteries are replaced.
Good luck!
Kristin

Oct 14, 2012 5:39 PM in response to kristinfromnyby jonathanla7,Thank you for posting these instructions. I just had the same problem.
I was able to eliminate most of these instructions by simply Pressing the pairing button on the LMP until the light flashed green, then opening up the Bluetooth preferences and deleting the device. Next I chose "setup Bluetooth device and entered in the numbers and pressed enter. Viola! worked like a charm and no restarting/shutdown needed.

Nov 8, 2012 12:16 PM in response to ttibsenby mgarza_a,Can someone please clarify this for me? My lmp has one button up top for the keyboard and a slider switch on the side. The only other button is on the backside? Are you saying your on and off button is an actual button?
Thank you

Mar 14, 2013 3:17 PM in response to rwpmassby preodeleon,Had same problem, pinwheel no pairing. Went to preferences and clicked "on" and " Discoverable. Enter to look for device but initially without success. Pulled batteries out while Mac still looking to pair device. Put batteries back in and noticed yellow light blinking and pushed pair button in back. It suddenly paired.

Mar 23, 2013 1:43 PM in response to kristinfromnyby mustang designer,This was awesome, Kristin. After contacting apple for support and getting nowhere I finally searched for LMP support and landed here. I am also frustrated, as others on this list, that when buying directly from Apple Store I got a third party product they can't support. Your answer sharing from LMP was a lifesaver!

Mar 23, 2013 8:54 PM in response to mustang designerby kristinfromny,Hi MD,
I had the same experience with the Apple people and share your frustration with their lack of support for products they sell.
So glad the LMP instructions helped and that you're keying away again!

May 3, 2013 3:44 PM in response to kristinfromnyby Airship-Driver,I tried this process 15 times over 1.5 hours. No luck. Thought was getting close as I actually got it to display as a found device a couple times. Never asked to enter a number. After last 9 reboots, not able to find it. Giving up and going with another option....USB driven I guess.

Sep 17, 2013 4:45 PM in response to Airship-Driverby llembree,I have restarted the numeric keypad, but if I don't use it for a couple of days, it stops working. Anyone having that issue? Any suggestions? Thanks. Frustrating of Apple to sell the thing and not support it.

Sep 17, 2013 4:57 PM in response to rwpmassby Airship-Driver,I gave up on this unit. I never could get it to work again on 4 devices. I just went out and bought a new keyboard with a numberpad.

Sep 17, 2013 7:42 PM in response to llembreeby mustang designer,Did you try the method suggested by Kristinfrommy on April 18, 2012? She got these instructions from the manufacturer in Switzerland. Worked for me! Been working for about a year.
