Imac bluetooth does not "find" the LMP Keypad.  It just keep searching.  iMac bluetooth is on and in discoverable mode.  The LMP Keypad has good batteries, is turned on and I pressed the pairing button.

Purchased a LMP keypad off ebay. Put in new batteries and tried to pair with my iMac 2010 running latest ML. No luck.

turn on keypad using slide switch on side of unit

press reset button on back of unit and green light on front blinks green

click on bluetooth icon on menu bar then setup bluetooth device

iMac finds the keypad and gives me the 8 digit pairing code

enter code and press enter key

after a short wait get error code that pairing was un successful.

    any ideas anyone??

I did notice some of these units have a push button instead of slide switch on side for on/off.

My LMP Keypad (Number Pad) just stopped working. I changed the batteries but still no luck. I remembered that there was a special procedure to pair the device so I ended up in this Forum.

The suggestion from kristinfrommy 4/18/12 worked for me. It can be a little confusing because the Bluetooth device info in the Mac keeps referring to the device as a keypad as opposed to a number pad.

So basically you delete the Keypad (number pad) and then add it back. I did shut down the Mac (twice) following the directions.

It also appears that there are different designs of the LMP number pad. My number pad has an on/off switch, not a button. I never saw a green light.

Last but not least: My number pad is 2 years old. About a year ago it stopped working and I could not get it to work. I brought it back to the Apple Store and they replaced it.

    Good Luck!!

    Hello,

Sorry for my very bad english, but it's not my mother tongue ...

    I have an iMac 27'' (3.5 GHz intel Core 7) with 10.9.1.

My LMP keypad works fine on my MacPro (10.6.8).

But impossible to connect the keypad to the iMac 27'' :

    - the keypad appears in sys pref/bluetooth

    - I click on 'activate pairing'

    - the grey wheel for a few seconds

    - then getting the failed to pair message (in french 'le jumelage a échoué')

Is it an incompatibility between mavericks and third part bluetooth keypad ?

    Best regards

I was thinking of throwing the keypad in the wall when I tried the Companys answer and instructions to kristinfromny(look att the beginning of this treadh, 18 april 2012), and it really worked. But in OSX 10.9.2 you don´t have an +-option. Follow the instructions and mark the Blutooth symbol in system preferences and it will work. Its important that you shut down the computer two times. Follow the instructions carefullly!

Who did you contact for this solution? My kepad will not connect and when I go through the pairing process as outlined in this thread, the blinking indicator light turns off and stays off after I press the first # in the pairing code. The result is the pairing was unsuccessful.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This worked for me August 2015. I used LMP keyboard for years and recently upgraded to a new iMac. LMP keyboard wouldn't pair with new Mac but these instructions worked perfectly.

Even though these instructions are outdated and some of the buttons have changed since 2012, once I poked the little black reset button on the bottom of the keypad with a pen, my Mac instantly discovered it. I entered the on screen pass code, and all was right in the world again!

    Awesome information !!!!
