I think you didn't add a SMTP server.

I have the same exact issue. All morning I am able to receive but cannot send ANY emails.

I'm having this trouble as well. Can't send e-mail except through mobileme online.

If this is a preview of iCloud, I'm shopping other options. I have had multiple problems this past month. I suspect the changes they are making re: iCloud. Not happy. And I have been waiting for Chat support for 1 hour.

There were some problems lately but now they say all is ok.

Beginning today I also started having problems with my ATT, yahoo, and windstream email accounts that I set up in Mail (version 4.5) on my Macbook Pro. Only my mobileme account works. Does this mean I no longer can have my accounts separate and all have to be forwarded to mobilme to be able to receive? Whenever I send email using any of my other accounts (in mail), I keep getting popup on AT&T and Yahoo that the password was rejected. But when I login at the website, the password is accepted. What gives?

I'm having the same problem, checked everything, matched all settings as my wife's and still mail is not going out!

Hi, Had the same problem, tried everything and nothing worked, until I decided to stop using Mac Mail and downladed Thunderbird from Mozilla, the software guys that gave us Firefox. It works a dream, I got that on my dock instead of Mac Mail, trouble free so far. I don't think Apple want to admit having an issue with Mac Mail, lol.

Change to Thunderbird by Mozilla or some other mail program, worked like a charm for me, there is an issue with Mac Mail, don't know what it is but changing mail program worked for me
