Try searching the forum for that camera model, never heard of it myself.
You camera connects via Firewire, apparently, so try a new cable.
Restart the Mac.
You can also try throwing away the FCP plst file, that sometimes cures stuff like this.
bogiesan
There is no forum and where can i find the plst file
Did not worked but imoevi also quits when i try to import i wil try it on my tiger of snow leopard machine
If that is what is wrong i will need to run snow leopard as well.....
Is that an HDV camera? If it is, choose one of the HDV Easy Set-ups. Try Firewire PAL for Device Control.
Russ
Is your scratch disk formatted macosextended? Have you tried capturing to another drive?
I think it it someting with the camera because it did not worked on 7 machines!!
(3 lion)
(2 snow leopard)
(1 tiger)
Are you connecting via firewire? Are there any menu options on the camera that may relate to this?
Firewire,
I set the output mode to HDV
I says dont when the application doesnt support HDV
But final cut pro 7 does right?
Yes fcp7 supports hdv. When you open the log and capture window, does fcp see the camera? Can you play the tape in the camera, using the controls in the log and capture window? Does it just quit when you try to start capturing?
It quits when i try to control the camera
so can you capture if you have device control set to non-controllable device? If so, try other device control presets.
Nope,
In imovie, final cut express and final cut pro
I get the capture-window
But when I hit play on the camera or in the capture window
Al of the aplications quit
