There is no such thing.
The Mac version of Internet Explorer was discontinued long ago and should no longer be used.

Thats not good.
I was told by the Apple staff that I could download an older version of internet explorer....something like version 6 or 7.
not the case then
The only way you could get it legally is to download it from Microsoft, but it's no longer available. I doubt that it would work on a modern Mac. It certainly wouldn't work on Lion.
Ok, well I bought a Mac to move away from Microsoft so that's a bit of pain I will have to take....minor at that. I still have my PC so I can use that if I need to use Explorer.
You can still download IE for Mac v. 5.2.3 (the final version, last updated over eight years ago) here — I just did, to make sure the link works:

But as Niel says, you shouldn't use it (it's insecure, it can't handle many modern web sites, and it may not run at all in recent versions of OS X. I'm not about to test it). If you try to use it, you'll be very disappointed. It was plenty disappointing in 2003, and age is unlikely to have improved it.
Sometimes when a website tells you that you must have Internet Explorer to access the site, you can get around it by enabling the Develop menu in Safari's Advanced settings, and changing the user-agent string to "Internet Explorer" or maybe "Firefox." Doesn't always work, but sometimes.
Thanks for that eww,
I only need to use it for one small part of work, I think it looks like ill just use my old PC if I need to use it.
Apart from im very happy about switching over to a Mac.
Why do you think you need IE?
Allan
Allan,
I play squash and can book a court online, however to do so IE is required. No other browser works im unfortunatly
Sorry you have to deal with such an idiot of a webmaster that insists on coding the web site in such a manner. There is really no call for such knuckleheadedness.
Allan
You said it, the only other option is drive to the squash club and book a court there, but thats just a waste of time. Such is life
There is no IE for the Mac native to MacOS. However, you can install Parallels and Microsoft 7 and run Windows in a virtual environment. This might be expensive for you but if you need IE for your Mac then that is the way to go.
I do not recommend installing an old version of IE v5.2.3 since it is not supported any longer and does not contain the security enhancements built into the current IE v9.
That is another option aswell, but as say a very expensive one and one I dont think is worth it for how much I would use it.
Good idea though.
They don't have a phone?
