Slow snow leopard & printing Adobe ill.

I just installed snow leopard. Did the upgrades. Ever since my Mac has really slowed down. I had to install the Rosetta to run Adobe Ill CS.

The HP printer will not print any Adobe Ill. files. It pulls the paper and runs through the printing, but no ink. I can print other files, it has ink.

Any suggestions for the slowness and printing?
