Problem with a Thunderbolt Display

I have two Thunderbolt Displays connected to a MacBook Pro 2011. One screen always comes on when I get my MacBook Pro from sleep. The other one stays black, an at random comes on (could be hours!). When I switch the two displays in the chain the problem remains with the one screen. So it's focussed to one screen.

As it comes on at random, the screens hardware seems fine, it looks like it's not getting out of sleepmode. I\m about to return it, but maybe you guys know something.

Tried:

- Disconnect the power for a while -> no result

- Disconnect the thunderbolt for a while -> no result

- Disconnect both -> no result

- Restart MBP -> no result

Software is up to date
