Can't zoom in on webpage using trackpad 'pinch and zoom'...works in iphoto but not on a webpage. I have checked system preferences and it is on, but don't understand why it doesnt zoom even though I am pinching and zooming correctly.
MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.1), bought october 2011
I should work with Safari along with the two fingered double tap to smart zoom.
It doesn't work in Firefox. Not sure about other browsers.

Try turning off ALL of your trackpad options, then turning them on again. I read a support articlbe about that when Lion came out. Fixed my Air.

Here's the solution I found with my 2 week old macbook air 11". Pinch zoom has been working then not working. Only way to correct it was to reboot my machine. Very fast on an AIR because of the SSD. BUT....if I wanted a computer that I had to reboot 3-4 times a day I could have gotten a PC.
So here's what you do, download the lastest update EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE IT. That would be update 10.7.2 and reinstall it. Pinch/zoom is steady and works all the time now.

I am trying resetting many times my trackpad pinch zoom options but without succees.
I have lately updated my OS to Mountain Lion but nothing happened new up to now.
I am very new to Mac and it's likely I'm doing something wrong.
Maybe someone knows another way to fix this?
