Has anyone purchase the MacKeeper sofware...it's for cleaning your computer...please give me some feedback

    And this omnisweeper is it something I need to download off the net? And what about onyx?

    I have reservation about Onyx. It is extremely powerful and if you not really careful what you do with it can cause more harm then good.

     

    I have it and I use it but I also know what it is doing and I have everything backed up prior to using it.

     

    If you are interested one of the third party applications I use quite a bit with large number of disks I have is Disk Warrior. It does only one thing, rebuild directories but it does it extremely well.

     

    Yes you need to download OmniDiskSweeper.

    I should be home in 45 min so I will check...and hopefully u can guide more then... But instead of reinstalling the DVD I think I saw the option of repairing disk in the utilities am I right?...

    I am NOT suggesting that you reinstall the OS.

     

    I am suggesting that you repair the disk. In order to do that you can't be booted from the disk you are attempting to repair. Hence the reason I suggested you boot from the install DVD. Once booted from that DVD then you start Disk Utility and repair the disk from there.
